Upper Deck Partners with Hockey Prodigy Michael Misa

Upper Deck, a renowned name in the sports collectibles industry, has set the stage for an exciting collaboration by securing an exclusive multi-year agreement with Michael Misa, a promising talent in junior hockey slated as the top pick for the 2025 NHL Draft. At just 15 years old, Misa made history by receiving the “Exceptional Status” for the 2022-23 season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), a distinction only six players have achieved in the league’s history. Now at 17, Misa has already made impressive strides by clinching the OHL Rookie of the Year award and the prestigious Emms Family Award.

Jason Masherah, the President of Upper Deck, expressed the company’s eagerness to welcome Misa into their roster of athletes, highlighting the anticipation for creating a unique collection of memorabilia and trading cards that capture the essence of Misa’s burgeoning career. The collection is designed to offer fans inventive ways to celebrate Misa’s journey, with both physical and digital formats in the mix.

Fans can look forward to a range of exclusive memorabilia, including autographed game-used pucks from Misa’s team, the Saginaw Spirit, prints of his iconic #77 jersey, and signed jerseys showcasing pivotal moments from his early career. In addition, Upper Deck has introduced three Game Dated Moments trading cards on UpperDeckEpack.com, commemorating memorable milestones in Misa’s career such as being the #1 pick in the 2022 OHL Priority Draft, scoring his first goal, and securing the Rookie of the Year title. A special treat awaits the first 25 collectors to complete the set, who will receive an autographed version of Misa’s Rookie of the Year award card, available for purchase until February 22.

Excitement reverberates from Misa as he joins the ranks of celebrated athletes like Wayne Gretzky and Connor McDavid in the Upper Deck family, underscoring the significance of this partnership in bringing his childhood aspirations to fruition and sharing his journey with fans. The collaboration between Upper Deck and Michael Misa not only heralds the ascension of a young talent in the hockey world but also upholds Upper Deck’s legacy of connecting fans with their sports idols through innovative and captivating collectibles.
